Special Ceremony Elements
Some of the most popular elements which we can include in your ceremony are listed below. If you have an idea of your own, please let me know and I will create a very personal ceremony element just for the two of you. Fees for Ceremony elements are:
Wedding Ring Warming – from £30
The most famous wedding term “Tying the Knot” comes from an age-old Pagan tradition. It is a simple and traditional ceremony element which involves the tying of your hands together with personalised ribbons or cords which symbolise betrothal.
Unity Sand Ceremony – from £60
Two different coloured sands are poured into a single vessel symbolising the blending of two individuals into a single, inseparable entity. The Sand Ceremony reinforces the fact that grains of sand, once mixed, are impossible to separate – so it is with your marriage.
Wine Box/Love Letter – from £65
You write love letters to each other before the wedding and seal them in an envelope. You choose your favourite bottle of wine (or drink of choice) and place these and any other mementos in the box. The box is sealed during the ceremony and remains sealed until a special anniversary of your choice.
Wine Ceremony – from £45
In the wine ceremony one glass of white wine and one glass of red wine are mixed to create a blush that you will both drink from. Other beverages can be used in replacement of wine. The mixing and sharing of the wine symbolises that the two of you are sharing all of life’s blessings and sorrows together, as characterised through sharing one glass.
Oathing Stone -from £65
Together you hold or put your hands on a stone during your vows to ‘set them in stone.’ The stone can be decorated and include the names of the bride and groom. The Oathing Stone can be placed in a prominent position in the home after the ceremony as a permanent reminder of the commitment to each other.
Rose Ceremony – from £30
In the Rose ceremony you can choose to present roses to the mothers / grandmothers as a way of showing appreciation for their support. The roses can also be presented as the first gifts that you will give to each other.
Handfasting – from £75
The most famous wedding term “Tying the Knot” comes from an age-old Pagan tradition. It is a simple and traditional ceremony element which involves the tying of your hands together with personalised ribbons or cords which symbolise betrothal.
Unity Candle – from £60
Like handfasting, the unity candle element has been adopted from Pagan wedding rituals. It symbolises you joining in marriage, as well as the joining of your two original families. Your mothers can light your individual candles as a symbol to show that you are moving on from their family to create a new family together.
First Kiss, Last Kiss – from £30
A heart-warming way to get your mums involved in the ceremony. They are called forward to kiss their own child. This is a lovely symbolic transition from mum’s first kiss for her new-born to her last kiss for her adult child before sending you on your new journey as husband, wife, or life partner.
Ceremony Certificate – from £45
A brief ceremony involving you and two witnesses. Each in turn sign a keepsake parchment or certificate which is then presented to the newlyweds.
Custom Elements – from £75
A bespoke element made just for you.
The above prices are dependent on what is required for each element.
